Subiaco

The bees stay behind glass on this one and you still watch a whole colony working. Then you make something with your hands: a candle out of the wax, or honey pulled straight from the frames.

How the day goes

  1. The guided part first, at the teaching hives and the observation aviary.
  2. A tasting of what comes out of a hive, which is more than just honey.
  3. The workshop: wax or extraction, and whatever you make goes home with you.
  4. A walk in the woods around the farm, which is the reason it sits up here.
