An hour in a biodynamic cellar at Arce, tasting straight from the tanks

Arce

A biodynamic cellar inside a medieval town, working native grapes that grow almost nowhere else. You taste some of it straight from the tank, before it has finished becoming wine.

How the day goes

  1. Out to the vineyards with somebody from the estate, then down into the cellar.
  2. Tasting from the tanks: the wine as it is now, not as it will be bottled.
  3. The finished wines follow, with a board of local salumi and cheeses.
  4. Book and pay online, and ask for the English tour while you are at it.

Slots are morning or late afternoon only, and they ask you to confirm the chosen date by phone.
