On the trailA lake in a crater has a rim, and this walk does the whole of it. You finish where you started, but by then you will have seen the water from every side of it and from above it as well.
It is a full day at walking pace with real ascent in it; if you want the lake without the effort, the shore below Caprarola gives you the view.
