On the waterStanding upright on a board on moving water is harder than it looks, and this river is honest about it: narrow, cold off the mountains, and quick enough that every mistake shows up in your ankles.
This is an adult day and a wet one: you will fall in, and you should be able to swim. If you want the river lower down and steadier, the canoe lessons sit inside the boat.
