Rocca Massima

Somebody strung a steel cable off the ridge at Rocca Massima and hung a platform at each end. You clip in at the first pylon, walk off, and cross the valley on the wire.

How the day goes

  1. Kit and harness at the base, then the way up to the launch platform.
  2. Step off, and the olive terraces and karst rock start running past underneath.
  3. Unclipped at the far end, and the shuttle brings you back to the start.
  4. Time afterwards in the village, which looks out over the plain to the sea.

You are clipped to the wire the whole way, but you do have to walk off the platform yourself, and nobody can do that part for you.
