The Anticolana spring park at Fiuggi

The other Fiuggi park, older and shaggier: sequoias and chestnut trees, ponds with little bridges over them, and a small train that trundles along under the branches.

How the day goes

  1. In through the gates and straight onto the paths under the big trees.
  2. The fountains for the water, then whatever the park is running — tennis, minigolf, the dance floor.
  3. Let the children loose in the play areas while the train does its round.
  4. Back out into Fiuggi as the light goes off the trees.

This is a public park with a spring in it rather than a spa circuit — for saunas and treatments, Ferentino and Viterbo are the address.
