The take-off sits inside the ruins of Norba, so the last thing under your feet before the air is a polygonal wall the Romans already found old. Then the Pontine plain.

How the day goes

  1. Walk out to the launch among the old walls, harness fitted, pilot behind you.
  2. The run down the slope, and the plain opens out below.
  3. A long glide over the walls and the farmland, sea on the horizon.
  4. Landing on the field below, with the cliff you left standing above you.

The launch is a downhill run with the wing already flying above you; if that is not what you came for, the Norba park is worth the walk on its own.
