On the trailThe Lepini are limestone, so they hold no water and grow beech instead. Semprevisa is the highest of them, and from the top the plain, the Circeo headland and the islands offshore all sit out there together.
This is a day on foot with real ascent; for the same mountains at a gentler angle, the walk up to ancient Norba gets a view for far less climbing.
