Subiaco

The Aniene runs cold and fast through Subiaco, and the trails follow it before anything starts to climb. With a motor under you the road up to Jenne stops being a question of legs.

  2. The long climb towards Jenne, easy enough that you can still look around.
  3. A lunch stop in the village and a walk through its streets before turning back.
  4. Down past San Benedetto and Santa Scolastica, the monasteries built into the rock.
