You do not so much jump as get taken out of the door, strapped to an instructor who flies the whole way down. Underneath is the Orbetello lagoon with Argentario in the middle of it.

How the day goes

  1. Meet the instructor who will be attached to you, and get fitted with the kit.
  2. The climb, the door opening, and the moment at the edge of it.
  3. Free fall over the lagoon, then the canopy opens and the noise stops.
  4. A quiet ride down onto the Maremma, with the beaches laid out below.

The hard part is the door, and it arrives whether you are ready or not; if you cannot picture yourself standing there, nothing else about the day will help.
