A cyclist riding a bike along a country road On two wheels

E-bike rental inside the Vulci archaeological park

Montalto di Castro

Vulci is an Etruscan city with almost nothing built over it: tombs, a bridge over the Fiora gorge, and grassland with cattle standing in it. A pedal-assisted bike gets you across the whole thing instead of a corner.

How the day goes

  1. Pick up the e-bike inside the park and ride out towards the gorge.
  2. Over the old bridge, then along the tracks between the tombs and the river.
  3. Back with the rest of the park still open behind you.

The rental runs in the warm months and is worth a phone call first; the park itself is open regardless.
