Santa Severa On horseback

Beach ride at Santa Severa castle or trail ride in the Tolfa hills

Santa Severa

The castle of Santa Severa stands with its feet in the sea, and you can ride the sand beside it at first light or at sunset. Inland, the same people take you up into the Tolfa oak woods.

How the day goes

  1. Pick the coast or the hills when you book, and the time of day with it.
  2. On the beach: wet sand underfoot, the castle on one side, the sea on the other.
  3. Or inland above Tolfa, through oak wood and out along the open ridges.
  4. Gentle horses and guides from here, so it works without riding experience.

Booking is required and the ride depends on the weather, so it is not a plan you make on the morning itself.
