Riding the Tolfa hills, with an aperitivo

Cerveteri

The Tolfa hills rise inland from the coast north of Rome, and you go up into them on a horse. It runs long enough to get out into open country, and an aperitivo is part of it.

How the day goes

  1. Meet at the stables, get on, and head out of the yard into the hills.
  2. Open ground for the middle of it, at whatever pace the group is riding.
  3. Back down, off the horse, and the aperitivo to sit over.
  4. Or take the sunset slot and ride with the light going down behind you.

Horses are horses, and a fall is possible — if you would rather not start riding on holiday, the quad through the Bracciano park ends with the same aperitivo.
