On the waterThe coast between the two towns is the one Ulysses is supposed to have sailed, and it still reads that way from the water: limestone, caves at sea level, and Sperlonga white on its rock at the far end.
It takes a good part of the day and there is sun on deck for all of it; the shorter runs around the Gaeta headland cover the same rock in less time.
