The Gaeta headland only makes sense from the sea: the split cliff of the Montagna Spaccata, the sanctuary stuck on the rock above the water, caves at the foot of it. From the road you see none of that.

How the day goes

  1. Boarding at Gaeta and running out past the harbour towards the point.
