Two helmeted riders on quad bikes on a stony track Off road

Three-hour quad ride to the Manziana caldare

Bracciano

The Caldara di Manziana is a clearing where the ground bubbles and smells of sulphur, with white birches standing round the edge of it. This route strings it together with a waterfall and a cave.

How the day goes

  1. Briefing at the Bracciano base, then straight onto dirt tracks.
  2. The Lena e Massa waterfall, then the old bridge, then the Porcareccia cave.
  3. On towards Manziana and the bubbling ground of the caldare.
  4. Back to base by the tracks you rode out on.

Narrow paths mean steering your own machine between trees rather than following a wide track, and it asks more than the lake tours do.
