Woods and abbeys: trekking plus e-bike in the Valnerina

Ferentillo

The Valnerina is a narrow green valley with abbeys tucked into it and woods up both walls. This outing puts you on foot for part of it and on an e-bike for the rest, which covers ground walking alone would not.

How the day goes

  1. Start on foot in the woods above the valley, with the guide setting the line.
  2. Swap to the e-bike for the stretch through the trees down to the abbey.
  3. Time at the abbey, then back with the valley opening out in front of you.

The group is kept small on purpose, and the day mixes walking with riding rather than doing either at length.
