A twenty-minute glider flight over the Alfina plateau

The Alfina airfield is the Italian national centre for glider aerobatics, which tells you what the club can do. This flight is the plain one: engine off, wings level, the plateau below.

How the day goes

  1. Meet at the Alfina field, up on the plateau near the Bolsena rim.
  2. Into the glider with an instructor, and up without an engine anywhere.
  3. Silent turns over the plateau, with Bolsena and Acquapendente out beyond it.

This is the short introduction rather than a lesson, and the aerobatics the club is known for are not part of it.
