This is the flying end of the Sabina. The ridge behind the village faces the plain with nothing in the way, the thermals come up reliably in the afternoon, and there are schools here old enough to have taught the people who now teach. Tandem paragliding is the usual thing; one of them also flies a two-seat hang glider, which nowhere else within reach of Rome does.
On the ground, the reserve of the two lakes below the village has hides for birdwatching and flat paths between them. The sanctuary above the village is one of the four Franciscan houses of the valley and is free to walk into.
