On the waterDive centre on the harbour of Ventotene
A second dive centre on Ventotene, mapped on the island in OpenStreetMap with its own website.
See the day
On the waterVentotene is small, flat and volcanic, with a Roman harbour cut out of the rock. What is under it beats what is on it: tuff walls dropping away, clear water, and very little traffic on the surface.
Diving asks something of you, and you commit to the crossing before anything else; there are children's sessions and beginner courses if nobody has dived before.
Ventotene at its real position from Rome, with everywhere else we list behind it — so you can see how far out this one is.
