Sunset at 1,200 metres on Monte Semprevisa, by quad

Bassiano

Campo Rosello sits high on Monte Semprevisa, and from up there the Pontine plain runs out to the Circeo with the Ponziane islands offshore. The quads get you there for sunset.

How the day goes

  1. Safety briefing at Bassiano, then a practice area to get used to the machine.
  2. Tarmac, then unmade road, then forest track, the group riding in single file.
  3. Photo stops on the way up, with the plain dropping away behind you.
  4. Aperitivo of local produce at the top, while the sun goes down over the sea.

You drive your own quad up a forest track and back down it, and the descent starts when the light is already going.
