Vignanello has a castle with a box-hedge parterre laid out below its windows, and a network of tunnels cut under the town. The Sunday visit takes both, in that order.

How the day goes

  1. The castle first: the rooms of the Piano Nobile, then the garden from above.
  2. Down into the Connutti, the passages dug underneath Vignanello.
  3. Back up into the town, in the middle of the day or in the late afternoon, depending on your slot.

The operator says outright that the tunnels do not suit anyone who struggles in enclosed spaces, and that the Piano Nobile cannot be reached by wheelchair.
