Two hours by quad over the Monti Ruffi, fifty minutes from Rome

Anticoli Corrado

The old railway line out of Anticoli Corrado is not a railway any more, which is why a quad can use it. It leads into olive groves and up onto the broom slopes of the Monti Ruffi.

How the day goes

  1. Briefing at the base, then a practice run to get the feel of an automatic quad.
  2. Along the old line and through the olives, with the guide ahead of you.
  3. Up onto the broom slopes, the Aniene valley open below.
  4. A stop for photographs, then the loop back to base.

The quads are automatic and the guide stays with the group, but you are still the one steering on loose ground.
