Sermoneta is a complete medieval town that was never modernised because it stopped growing: one gate, one main street, and the Caetani castle at the top with its moat, drawbridge and the frescoes the Borgia left when they took it by force.
Valvisciolo abbey is in the trees at the bottom of the hill, and the Ninfa garden — the ruined town somebody turned into a garden — is on the same road.
