Sabaudia
Twenty-five kilometres of dune between the sea and four coastal lakes, with a mountain at the end of it.

Sabaudia is inside a national park, which is why the beach behind the dune has nothing built on it: the strip between the sea and Lake Paola is protected the whole way down to the Circeo headland.
The town itself was built in the nineteen-thirties in one go and looks it. Behind it the park has the lakes, the forest and the promontory, and enough of it is walkable or rideable to fill a day without ever getting in the car again.
